The Youth Council discusses issues that affect youth in Worcester, develops projects, events, workshops to share information with our city's youth and collect their opinion and voice on these issues, provides our youth population with opportunities for civic engagement, and reports their findings to the City Manager.

Eligibility Requirements: Youth must be 14+ and be able to attend at least 1 meeting each week.

Council Composition: At least (10) members, with at least (1) representative from each of the 5 city districts.

Meetings: The Youth Council meets Mondays in person from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and Wednesdays virtually from 3 to 5 p.m. These meetings take place January - December with brief periods off during school winter and summer break times. Youth who have been accepted to the Youth Council continue after these times off and need not reapply.
