Diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) is a top priority for the City of Worcester, and its mission is to cultivate a workplace environment reflective of the Worcester community with a culture of service, respect and accountability.
In addition, the Human Rights, Investigations and Training & Development divisions were transitioned to the EODEI, along with the Human Rights Commission, Advisory Committee on the Status of Women, Accessibility Advisory Committee and a newly created Advisory Committee on Latino Affairs.
The City of Worcester wants to recognize and honor women who channel their empathy into meaningful service that uplifts and transforms the lives of people across the city. Completed Woman of Consequence Award Nominations must be submitted by 5 p.m. on May 15, 2025.

The Office of Human Rights serves residents and visitors who live, work, and do business in Worcester. We strive to ensure that all city residents are treated fairly and equally by working to reduce bigotry, discrimination, intolerance and prejudice.
Accessibility

The Accessibility Office ensures that all Worcester residents and visitors with disabilities have access to city programs and services by providing information and referral, advocacy, outreach and educational programs.

Advisory Committee on the Status of Women
The function of the Advisory Committee on the Status of Women is to formulate, encourage, promote and monitor programs and policies relating to the status of women in the City of Worcester.

Commission on Latino Affairs
Encourage, promote and monitor policies and practices in the City to ensure that Latinos enjoy the equal protection of the law, equal access to all public services and full enjoyment and exercise of their civil rights.
