Located at 128 Providence St., our cutting-edge Senior Center is a bright and welcoming place for all seniors, their families and caregivers, elder service providers and the community at large.

The Commission on Elder Affairs is composed of volunteers representing many ages and experiences and who reflect themselves in matters of concern to the operation of the Elder Affairs division of City services.

The Worcester Consumer Rights Program (WCRP) is a local consumer program that offers mediation service in cooperation with the Mass Attorney General's Office. The service is available to consumers in Worcester and surrounding towns.

The Age Friendly Worcester Initiative is a group of community stakeholders from diverse backgrounds working together to make Worcester a vibrant, livable place for everyone, regardless of age or ability. Worcester was formally awarded the Age Friendly designation in May 2022 and will continue to pursue the next steps in this multiyear process.

The Worcester Senior Center is open to the public Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

No. While most programs are targeted towards older adults, younger people often receive services for caregivers or participate in inter-generational programs.

No. There is no membership required, although free registration is encouraged and is necessary for use of the Fitness Center. Membership in the Friends of Worcester's Senior Center, Inc. will provide you with certain benefits such as receiving the monthly newsletter by mail. Call the Friends at: 508-799-1232 x48020.

The Senior Center is located on Vernon Hill with plenty of free parking at 128 Providence Street. WRTA bus #1 and #11 stop at the Senior Center; WRTA also provides curb-to-curb ADA transportation. For information on bus routes, ADA transportation and travel training, please call the WRTA at 508-453-3462. For assistance with your application for ADA transportation or to find out about free/reduced fares to and from the Worcester Senior Center, call 508-799-1232.

Yes. You may make a reservation for lunch by calling 508-799-8070 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. at least 2 days in advance. Donations accepted. See menu in the monthly Senior Scoop Newsletter. You may also pay for breakfast, lunch, and/or snacks from Bobby M's Diner open every morning through early afternoon. 

The Worcester Consumer Rights Program works in cooperation with Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office and it helps with various kinds of consumer complaints and grievances against any business. This is accomplished through mediation effort and outcome. The program The program engages the consumer and business in a productive dialogue and propose ideas and solutions to facilitate amicable resolution to a disagreement.
